The aim of the Trial Lesson is to evaluate your level, talk about your learning goals and make a learning plan. This helps us to tailor the lessons according to your needs, preferences and interests, whether it is grammar, conversation, specific thmes etc.  We will also talk about the different ways of learning (visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinesthetic) and make a plan according to your learning style and preferences.

I have also made a lot of authentic material, such as grammar explanations, exercises and texts, to support your learning. I will support you to meet your individual learning goals, whether they are confidence in conversation, vocabulary for a certain topic, grammar rules or something else. Nähdään pian!

Paranna luetun- ja puhutun ymmärtämistaitojasi lukemalla uutisia tai katsomalla uutisvideoita. Voit valita sinua kiinnostavan uutisen tasosi mukaan, esimerkiksi Ylen Selkouutiset, Helsingin Sanomat tai Yle Uutiset. Tunnilla keskustelemme valitsemastasi uutisesta ja sen aiheesta.

Tämän kurssin tavoite on tukea sinua opiskelemaan YKI-testiin. YKI-testi eli Yleinen Kielitutkinto on Suomessa yleisesti käytössä oleva kielitaidon testi.

Aloitamme kurssin määrittelemällä sinun tasosi sekä tavoitteesi. Teemme yhdessä opiskelusuunnitelman, johon sisältyy mm. tavoitteet ja opiskelutyyli. Harjoittelemme kaikkia YKI-testissä testattavia taitoja, jotka ovat luku-, kirjoitus-, kuuntelu- ja puhetaidot. Tunneilla käytämme paljon erilaisia materiaaleja, kuten kielioppi-, luku-, kirjoitus- ja keskusteluharjoituksia. Lisäksi valmistaudumme testiin käyttämällä materiaaleja edellisten vuosien YKI-testeistä.

This course is designed to prepare you to take the YKI test (The National Certificates Of Language Proficiency).  We will start the course by evaluation your level and goals. We will make a learning plan, where we will include goals and teaching style. During the course we will practice all the skills that are tested in the YKI-test. These skills are reading, writing, listening and speaking. We will use different kinds of material, such as grammar explanations and exercises, reading and comprehension, writing and conversation exercises. In addition we will use YKI-tests from previous years to prepare for the exam.

Iltateet - Group lesson

Join our group lesson to reinforce vocabulary and conversational skills. We will practice vocabulary, listening and speaking through activities, games, situations and quizzes. It's a great way to complement your self-studies or another course. Each lesson has a different topic. Before the lesson you will get material (video, text, song...) to get familiar with the topic and vocabulary.

Colloquial Finnish - We can also focuse on colloquial Finnish and practise colloquial vocabulary and idioms.

Jutellaan - Conversational Lesson with Grammar Aid - 55 or 25 minutes

These lessons are ideal for anyone looking to improve their Finnish skills and feel more at home in Finnish society. We place a special focus on colloquial Finnish (puhekieli) and navigating real-life situations—like ordering a coffee, shopping, making small talk, and handling everyday conversations.

The lessons are interactive, fun, and practical. We play language games, role-play daily scenarios, and practice useful vocabulary and pronunciation. Whether you're a complete beginner or already know some Finnish, we’ll move at your pace and help you gain real confidence in speaking Finnish in everyday life.
