Here I taught environmental studies at beginner to intermediate level. 
There was a strong focus on academic writing and university preparation. 

In this role I had extensive practice of traditional English teaching methods

Here I taught advanced general English classes. 
At this school I started a comprehensible input class in response to the mismatch between student and textbook. In this class, we purely focused on creating stories, with no direct focus on word lists or grammar. The students loved it and it completely changed my approach to teaching.

Ben Slavic is a nationally recognized TPRS and Comprehensible Input expert who is the author of numerous best-selling books, audio and video programs. 

In this course, I focused on understanding the Second Language Acquisition. I used many research-informed practices, including slow communication, gesturing and story making. 

The focus of this course was to develop story making skills and understand why they work so well.

I have taught teachers how to practice Comprehensible Input. This has involved teaching them about the Second Language Acquisition research and helping them use research-informed skills, such as: 

-slow speech
-gesturing
-how to address vocabulary and grammar acquisition 
-story making 

In this role, I helped teachers understand that language acquisition is a low, natural process in which students need to feel valued as a member of the community and in which their ideas are important.
