As a trial lesson, we can chat about the things you want to learn, run through a quick lesson together, and try to get to know and better understand each other (how you learn best and how I can help teach you most effectively).

Through these lessons, we want to see improvement in your Japanese speaking skills, boost in your confidence to speak the language, and comprehension of my Japanese and to be able to respond. Whether you are a beginner and only know greetings or you have studied Japanese for several years and just need a partner to chat with to polish your speaking skills, I am here to help. 

We won't be using any textbooks or outside material as it is just conversation practice.

These lessons will be focused on practicing speaking the Japanese language and will be done so through conversation between me and you. We'll discuss any topic you would like or we will simply just chat in Japanese. 

When it comes to conversation practice, I will be asking you to repeat sentences, read out loud phrases, and there will be a lot of back and forth. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask me how to say certain words or phrases that you've wanted to learn and incorporate into your vocabulary.

We will not be using a textbook of sorts to ensure that you are not having to purchase anything outside of the lesson and I will provide all the material within the lessons and even send you links to my flashcards, quizzes and/or homework. 

We will focus on studying the alphabet first, and then learning how to read words using it. With the knowledge of the alphabet, we will dive deeper into basic vocabulary and simple phrases. 

I will adjust to how you want to learn and what works best for you, but I can use PowerPoint slides, flashcards, conversation practice, and even simply writing things out on paper together.

English for Beginners

We will focus on studying the hiragana alphabet first, and then learning how to read words using hiragana. With the knowledge of the hiragana alphabet, we will dive deeper into basic vocabulary and simple phrases.
