Me:
Hi, I am Claudia and I live in the province of Padua in northern Italy. I have a great passion for languages and foreign cultures, I have been teaching Italian for two years now and I must say that I love teaching my language and meeting people from all over the world. I'm a certified cedils teacher and currently, I'm attending the first level Itas master's degree, for teaching Italian to foreigners at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. i'm here of course because I want to help you improve your knowledge of Italian, if you start from an intermediate level, but also to teach you Italian starting from the first basics. Method and Lessons:
I am an easy-going person, and I like the atmosphere in class to always be relaxed.Students should always feel comfortable and feel like they come first, I am here for you first and foremost. Classes will be based on your needs and goals, whether it is grammar or conversation. I like to use different materials, besides the grammar book in fact, I like to use my personal materials that I have built up over time. There will be songs cooking recipes, videos, games..In short, everything you need to make studying more fun and less boring. I'm not going to tell you a lie, I should study grammar too, but doing it the right way is essential to change our point of view.
Always remember that you are the one who decides, your needs come first .

🇬🇧Ciao!  this is a conversation class,  you need to be able to speak a little to do that! (Even if you're A1 it's ok, conversation is always good)

this class may include: 

-spontaneous conversations of daily life
-discussion of various topics of interest
-guided conversations with games, news idioms, curiosity...

During our conversations, we can also read short texts or stories to improve your comprehension and naturally review grammar.
Every time after the lesson I will send you the PDF file with the activities we have done together so you can take a look and have a review.

- Conversazioni guidate con giochi, notizie, modi di dire, curiosità...

Durante la conversazione, possiamo anche leggere brevi testi o racconti, per migliorare la comprensione e rivedere la grammatica in modo naturale.
Alla fine di ogni lezione ti manderò il file PDF dell'attività fatta insieme, così potrai rivedere tutto con calma :)

I hold a first-level Master's degree in "Teaching and Promotion of Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners – ITALS" from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
This program gave me a strong theoretical and practical foundation in teaching Italian as a second and foreign language, with a focus on the communicative approach, intercultural competence, material design, and managing multilingual and multicultural classrooms.

A Certification in Didactics of the Italian Language to foreigners students.

My first language of study was Japanese. I also travelled several times to Japan, as a student to improve my skill.

I've became more confident in teaching during this first month on italki. I really enjoy lessons with students and prepare the material for them.

I have experience teaching Italian as a second language in FormaTemp courses for foreign job seekers in Italy.
I worked with multicultural and multilingual groups, often supporting students with low literacy skills and social vulnerabilities.
I planned and delivered practical, communication-based lessons with a strong focus on work-related vocabulary, real-life needs, and inclusion.

I worked as an Italian L2 teacher in a social cooperative offering literacy and language integration programs for migrants.
I managed heterogeneous classes, often with mixed levels and students with little or no schooling.
Besides teaching, I was involved in planning activities, creating tailored materials, and providing cultural mediation, collaborating closely with other educators and social workers.
