In this course, we'll talk about environment, especially about things we could live without in order to protect the planet. Recently UE has forbidden straws, glitters and intends to ban plastic microbeads (in scrubs or certain shower gels). Some people might find these decisions terrible but are they? Do we really need these things? Which other products could we sacrifice in order to pollute less? For this class, I'd like you to think of the things we use in everyday life but we actually don't really need and could give up and/or sustainable solutions that could replace these products / items. Among the questions I'll ask, this one will come up: UE will ban the sale of combustion-powered cars in 2035, what do you think about this decision? I'd also like you to think of these questions and give a detailed answer to at least one of them: - Have you changed some of your consumption habits? If so, which one(s)? - Do you have advice on how to be more eco-friendly? - Are you a climate skeptic? Do you think experts and scientists are exaggerating climate change predictions? - Do you know climate skeptic people? What do you think of climate skeptic people? - Can we fear more natural disasters in the future ? - How do you think the Earth will be in 50 years? - Some experts talk about a "water war", do you believe in it? I always try to instill a relaxed atmosphere and you'll definitely be invited to use "tu" :). Drinks allowed!
