意味は、町の単位、人が集まる町、場、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・市民ーしみん　市の住民

・市立ーしりつ　市がつくったり、経営すること

・都市ーとし　人が多く集まり、政治・経済・文化の中心になっている所のこと、都会。

・市場ーいちば　魚・野菜などの食料品などを売る場所。

・市場ーしじょう　業界の大きさ、金融のこと


こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・私は大阪市民です。

・市立図書館をよく利用します。

・日本の5大都市は、東京23区、大阪市、名古屋市、札幌市、福岡市です。
