With 26 letters, (but 44 different sounds), and not many rules, English pronunciation is sometimes difficult.
Sometimes, reading a word, does not help you to say it.  Here is some help.

おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

私は先週(せんしゅう)、
道後温泉(どうごおんせん)へ行きました。

道後温泉は、愛媛県(えひめけん)にある
とても有名(ゆうめい)な温泉です。

日本最古(にほんさいこ)の温泉と言われています。

日本最古とは、日本でいちばん古い
という意味です。

なんと、3000年前(さんぜんねんまえ)
からあるそうです。

昔(むかし)の有名な人、
聖徳太子(しょくとくたいし)や、
夏目漱石(なつめそうせき)が、
道後温泉に来たことがあるそうです。

すごいですねぇ‥！

みなさん、スタジオジブリの
"千と千尋の神隠し"という
映画(えいが)を知っていますか？

英語の名前と、日本語の名か前は全然(ぜんぜん)ちがいますが‥
この"千と千尋の神隠し"の
モデルのひとつとなった場所が、
道後温泉です。

建物(たてもの)は
とても魅力的(みりょくてき)でした。

温泉は、やわらかいお湯で、
肌がしっとりとしましたよ。

ご飯もおいしかったです。

道後温泉の話はまたしたいと思います。
