一边yì biān……一边yì biān……
is used in front of verbs to indicate two actions taking place concurrently.
For example:
zán men yì biān sàn bù , yì biān liáo tiānr 。 
咱们一边散步,一边聊天儿。
We walk and chat.
dà wèi yì biān kàn shū , yì biān tīnɡ yīn yuè 。 
大卫一边看书,一边听音乐。
David is reading a book and listening to music.
wǒ men zuó tiān wǎn shɑnɡ yì biān chī fàn , yì biān liàn xí shuō zhōnɡ wén 。 
我们昨天晚上一边吃饭,一边练习说中文。
We practiced speaking Chinese while having dinner last night.
