Today's phrase is "to be rigged" which means something has been set up to operate in some kind of unfair way. 

Today's phrase is to be rigged. Now when something is rigged, it is believed that it's operated using some kind of dishonest behaviour to promote a desired outcome. Now, let me just give you some examples to show you what I mean:

So, if we say, for example, 

The job vacancy has been advertised in the newspaper but I believe it's been rigged. We all know who's going to win.

 The football match was definitely rigged. I don't think the football players were playing in their usual way today. 

The competition to win a holiday in the local newspaper has been won by an employee of that newspaper. That was definitely rigged.

And, after working with all this painstaking precision, she yawned and said:

Ah! I am scarcely awake. I beg that you will excuse me.

My petals are still all disarranged.
小王子这时再也控制不住自己的爱慕心情：“你是多么美丽啊！”
But the little prince could not restrain his admiration: "Oh! How beautiful you are!"
花儿悠然自得地说：“是吧，我是与太阳同时出生的…”
"Am I not?" the flower responded, sweetly. "And I was born at the same moment as the sun."
小王子看出了这花儿不太谦虚，可是她确实丽姿动人。
The little prince could guess easily enough that she was not any too modest–but how moving–and exciting–she was!
她随后又说道：“现在该是吃早点的时候了吧，请你也想着给我准备一点…”
"I think it is time for breakfast," she added an instant later. "If you would have the kindness to think of my needs".
小王子很有些不好意思，于是就拿着喷壶，打来了一壶清清的凉水，浇灌着花儿。

And the little prince, completely abashed, went to look for a sprinkling-can of fresh water. So, he tended the flower.

So, too, she began very quickly to torment him with her vanity– which was, if the truth be known, a little dificult to deal with.
例如，有一天，她向小王子讲起她身上长的四根刺：“老虎，让它张着爪子来吧！”
One day, for instance, when she was speaking of her four thorns, she said to the little prince: "Let the tigers come with their claws!"
小王子顶了她一句：“在我这个星球上没有老虎，而且，老虎是不会吃草的”。
"There are no tigers on my planet," the little prince objected. "And, anyway, tigers do not eat weeds."
花儿轻声说道：“我并不是草。”
"I am not a weed," the flower replied, sweetly.

Please excuse me.
我并不怕什么老虎，可我讨厌穿堂风。
I am not at all afraid of tigers, she went on, but I have a horror of drafts.

I suppose you wouldn't have a screen for me?

3. Offering a new product/service to reach new customers

Your business might be doing well, but there is no growth or development and there is a risk that your competitors might take away some of your customers. Innovation sometimes means developing a new product that targets a different market. Although video games were often played by boys, in 2006, video games giant Nintendo introduced the game console Nintendo Wii, successfully targeting girls and older customers with games like Cooking Mama and Brain Training.  

4. Changing the way you provide a service

By looking at the changes to the customer's lifestyle and needs, we sometimes realise that there might be better ways to serve them. Customers who do not have a lot of time might prefer to have their food or their shopping delivered to their homes, or they might like to do their banking online rather than in an actual bank.

Not all innovation will bring success to our businesses, but it can give us the opportunity to grow and learn more about what we do and what our customers might want.

今日はあいさつの返事について、話します。
私自身が英語を勉強している時、知っている返事のバリエーションが少なくて困ります。なんて返したらいいかわからない、と言うことですね。

日本語学習をしている人もそういう人もいると思います。
ということで、まずはあいさつの時の返し方を話します。

はじめてあった人と話す時。
だいたい、はじめまして、からはじまりますね。
なので、はじめまして、で返してください。
それからだいたい、
Atsushiです。とか名前をなのりますね。なので、
ーです。と返してください。

仕事だと、会社の人にあったら、
おはようございます。からはじまりますね。
会社によりますが、昼から出勤する時でも、
おはようございます、という会社もあります。
おはようございます、というあいさつなので、
返すのは、同じ、
おはようございます、が多いですね。人によっては、
おつかれさまです。とかも言います。

仕事で帰る時は、
だいたいはおつかれさまです、と言われますので、
おつかれさまです。とか、
おつかれさまです、失礼します、
などと言って返してください。
ご飯のお金を出してもらった時は、ごちそうさまでした！と言います。

友達だと、こんにちはとかはあまり使いません。
朝はおはようは使いますね。なぜかこんにちは、こんばんは、はあまり使いません。待ち合わせしている時、
お待たせ！とか、
よっ！とか、
久しぶりー！
元気？とか、いろんなパターンがありますね。

あとから来た人がお待たせ！と言うので、
自分が待っていれば、
全然(大丈夫)とか、
いいよー、とか、
いこうか、とか、使います。

帰る時は、
じゃあね、バイバイ！とか言うことが多いので、
じゃあね、バイバイ！とか、
バイバイ！とか、
気をつけて、とか、言います。
関西弁だと、
ほな、とか
ほんなら、
ほなまた、とか言います。なので、返しは同じで、
ほな、ほんなら、
ほなまた、
ほなね、とかで返してください。もちろん人によります。

今日は簡単にあいさつの時の返し方について話しました。
返し方がわかると、より自然な会話のやり取りになると思いますので、いろいろ試してみてください。
