スペイン語のレッスンと異常気象

私は毎日30分、スペイン語の会話レッスンをしています。スペイン語を勉強し始めたのはコロナで家に出られない期間、何か新しいことをはじめたかったからです。だから、コロナが落ち着いてから勉強をサボってしまって前より下手になってしまいました。今でも前の方がスペイン語が上手に話せたと思っていますが、毎日話すことで少しずつ自信を取り戻しています。

さて、今日のレッスンはパナマに住んでいる先生とのレッスンでした。現在パナマでは北部で台風がきていて、洪水などの被害が深刻だそうです。家の天井まで水に浸ってしまった家もあるようです。そこで話題になったのが最近の異常気象です。パナマではこのような台風は珍しいそうです。実は今年、私の住んでいる町でも洪水があり、全国紙に載るほどの被害がありました。私の町でも洪水はとても珍しいので、ニュースを見て驚きました。（私はその時、タイにいました。）

最近ではスペインでもバレンシア州で洪水があり、たくさんの犠牲者が出ていますよね。その他にも日本語の生徒さんの国でも異常気象というキーワードが出ることが多いです。言語を通して色々な国のことを自分の国のニュースで読むだけでなく、その国のニュースサイトで読んだり、その国の人から直接教えてもらうことができるのは言語学習の魅力の大きな一つですよね！スペイン語を勉強していてよかったなーと思った瞬間でした。
