日本は2013年の統計では約8470万人が仏教徒だとされています。				
一方で、現代の日本人は特定の信仰宗教を持たず、自分を仏教徒だと強く意識する機会が少ない人も多いです。				
広い意味では99%の日本人が仏教徒だとされています。				
多くの日本人はお正月や何か頼み事があるときに、神社へお参りに行きます。				
				
インド発祥の仏教は、インドから中国、朝鮮半島を通って、５３０年ごろ日本へ伝えられました。				
北のルートを通って伝わったので、北伝仏教と言います。				
				
それに対して、インドからスリランカを通ってタイやミャンマーなどの東南アジアに伝わったものを				
南伝仏教　と言います。南のルートから伝わったので、日本の仏教とは少し種類が違います。				
				
当時は、日本に仏教を取り入れるか、取り入れないかで、争いが起きました。				
その結果仏教を信じる人たちが勝ったため、日本に伝わりました。				
				
710年から始まる奈良時代には、「道教」というお坊さんが仏教の力を使って政治の権力をにぎり、仏教と政治の関わりが強くなります。				
				
その後７９４年から始まる平安時代の天皇が、仏教の影、響力を弱めるために、都を新しく移します。そして修行がとても厳しい「密教」という仏教を「空海」という日本のお坊さんが中国に学びに行き、日本へ伝わりました。				
世界遺産にもなった和歌山県にある「高野山」は密教の聖地となっています。
密教は修行が厳しいため、仏教は政治に関わりと持たなくなりました。

Daniel se réveille à l’hôtel. En sortant de sa chambre, il voit un camion. Le camion appartient au
restaurant « La Ratatouille folle ». Daniel trouve le transporteur. Il lui demande s’il peut voyager à l’intérieur du camion qui va à Marseille. Le transporteur lui dit oui. A l’intérieur du camion il se
retrouve avec un vieil homme. Lui aussi va à Marseille. Il veut retrouver son fils, Arnaud. L’homme est le père de l’ami de Daniel, Arnaud.
