설명
Every earlier drill trained you to say things. This one trains you to ask, the skill that generates all your input. Ten blocks and roughly ninety questions, English first and then a pause for you to answer before the Malayalam. The blocks are question words, basic information, language questions, shopping, getting around, food, getting things done, opening people up, and permission. It ends with the four questions that matter most, and why a question hands the work of talking back to the other person. Words and phrases in this class: എന്തുകൊണ്ട്? (enthukondu?) – why? ആരുടെ? (aarude?) – whose? ഇതിനെ മലയാളത്തിൽ എന്ത് പറയും? (ithine malayaalathil enthu parayum?) – what do you call this in Malayalam? ഈ വാക്കിന്റെ അർത്ഥം എന്താണ്? (ee vaakkinte arththam enthaanu?) – what does this word mean? ഒന്നുകൂടി പറയാമോ? (onnukoodi parayaamo?) – can you say it again? ചില്ലറയുണ്ടോ? (chillarayundo?) – do you have change? എത്ര ദൂരമുണ്ട്? (ethra dooramundu?) – how far is it? ഞാൻ എവിടെ ഇറങ്ങണം? (njaan evide iranganam?) – where should I get off? എരിവുണ്ടോ? (erivundo?) – is it spicy? ആരെയാണ് കാണേണ്ടത്? (aareyaanu kaanendathu?) – whom should I see? എന്നിട്ട്? (ennittu?) – and then? ഫോട്ടോ എടുക്കാമോ? (photo edukkaamo?) – may I take a photo? In this class: • The nine question words, made instant • Language questions that build your vocabulary for you • Questions for shops, buses, meals and offices • The four that matter most, and why a question keeps you in the conversation Quizzes below.
