설명
The last episode: an evening at a Kerala festival with elephants and drums, and a letter home to Grandmother. The festival story consolidates the past: set the time once at the front (ഇന്നലെ), then keep every verb in the past. The letter brings in the future (-ഉം, one ending for every person), -ആൻ for purpose (to see), how one person takes different endings for different roles (മുത്തശ്ശിക്ക്, മുത്തശ്ശിയെ), and the warm sign-off സ്നേഹത്തോടെ. Each episode works the same way: the story line by line with English, the grammar point, then the story again at speed with no English. Don't skip that last pass. Words and phrases in this class: ഇന്നലെ (innale) – yesterday ഉത്സവം (ulsavam) – festival ഞങ്ങൾ വൈകുന്നേരം പോയി (njangal vaikunneram poyi) – we went in the evening ആൾക്കൂട്ടം (aalkkoottam) – crowd ആനകൾ വന്നു (aanakal vannu) – the elephants came മേളം കേട്ടു (melam kettu) – we heard the drums ഉത്സവം ഭംഗിയുള്ളത് ആയിരുന്നു (ulsavam bhangiyullathu aayirunnu) – the festival was beautiful മുത്തശ്ശിക്ക് ഒരു കത്ത് (muthassikku oru kathu) – a letter to Grandmother മുത്തശ്ശിയെ കാണാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ വരും (muthassiye kaanaan njangal varum) – we will come to see Grandmother പോകുന്നു, പോയി, പോകും (pokunnu, poyi, pokum) – go, went, will go സ്നേഹത്തോടെ (snehathode) – with love In this class: • Story 9: the festival evening • Story 10: a letter to Grandmother • Grammar: holding the past, then the future with -ഉം • -ആൻ for purpose, -ക്ക് vs -എ for roles, and the nine-form tense drill Quizzes below.
