Diagram Labels and Short-Answer Questions | IELTS #087
설명
Level B2 (approx. band 5.5-6.5) · Academic and General Training
A diagram appears: a machine, a building or a natural process, with some labels missing. Many learners panic at the technical words, read the whole passage again, and then write labels in their own words. Short-answer questions cause a similar problem: learners write a full sentence when the question wants two words.
In this episode:
• Reading technical description
• Locating the parts
• Exact word copying
• Short-answer questions
• Reading lab
• Language bridge
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
Key points:
• Position and movement words are your map of the diagram.
• Use the given labels as anchors; the missing label sits beside them.
• Copy the passage's words, in the passage's form, inside the limit.
• Let the question word predict the answer, and write only the words you need.
