Going into hospital
• You go to your doctor feeling very unwell.
• She examines you, and arranges for you to see a consultant.
• You may have tests, X-rays•, or scans2 and the nurses may take blood samples
The consultant decides how to treat you.
• You may have an operation3 immediately if it is an emergency.
• The consultant explains the benefits and risks to you, the patient4.
• After the operation, nurses care for you while you recover.
• The operation is successful.
• When you are well enough, you can go home to recover completely.

Q:今天星期几？（What is day is it today?）

A:今天星期一。（Today is Monday.）

我6岁的时候上小学。
wǒ liù suì de shí hòu shàng xiǎo xué 。
I went to elementary school when I was 6 years old.
我12岁的时候上初中。
wǒ shí èr suì de shí hòu shàng chū zhōng 。
I went to middle school when I was 12 years old.
我15岁的时候上高中。
wǒ shí wǔ suì de shí hòu shàng gāo zhōng 。
I went to high school when I was 15.
我18岁的时候上大学。
wǒ shí bā suì de shí hòu shàng dà xué 。
I went to college when I was 18.
我22岁的时候大学毕业，开始工作。
wǒ èr shí èr suì de shí hòu dà xué bì yè ， kāi shǐ gōng zuò 。
When I was 22, I graduated from college and started working.
我的第一份工作是会计师。
wǒ de dì yī fèn gōng zuò shì kuài jì shī 。
My first job was an accountant.
我也做过贸易的工作。
wǒ yě zuò guò mào yì de gōng zuò 。
I also did trading work.
现在我是一名老师。
