   a. Better late than never - It's better to do something late than to not do it at all.
      Example: "He finally apologized, saying better late than never."
   b. Kill time - To occupy oneself during a period of waiting or when there's nothing else to do.
      Example: "I usually read a book to kill time during my commute."
   c. Against the clock - To be in a race against time or running out of time.
      Example: "They worked against the clock to finish the project before the deadline."
   d. In the nick of time - Just in time or at the last possible moment.
      Example: "She arrived in the nick of time to catch the train."
   e. Time flies - Time passes quickly.
      Example: "It feels like yesterday, but time flies, and now they're all grown up."

音読み　しつ
訓読み　うしなーう

意味は、うしなう、もれる、まちがえる、にげる、とかそんな感じです。

例えば、

・失望ーしつぼう　がっかりしたこと

・損失ーそんしつ　お金をうしなうこと、財産、利益など

・紛失ーふんしつ　ものをなくすこと

・失言ーしつげん　言ってはいけないことを言ってしまうこと

・失敗ーしっぱい　方法などがわるく、目標が達成できないこと


こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・彼には本当に失望した。とても期待していたのに残念だ。

・株の運用で大きな損失を出してしまった。

・会社の鍵を紛失してしまった。

・この会議は大切な会議です、失言しないように気をつけてください。

・彼に任せたことが失敗だった。
