كان عمر طفلًا عاديًا.
يحب كرة القدم،
وينتظر نهاية الحصة الأخيرة،
ويفرح عندما يعلن المعلم تأجيل الواجب.
مثل أي طفلٍ آخر.
لكن كان هناك شيء مختلف.
الطريق إلى المدرسة.
كل صباح،
يحمل حقيبته،
ويخرج من البيت مع أخيه.
لا يفكر كثيرًا في الدروس.
كان يفكر في المباراة التي سيلعبها أثناء الاستراحة،
أو في صديقه الذي وعده بإحضار كرة جديدة.
لكن قبل أن يصل إلى المدرسة،
كان عليه أن يمرّ عبر الحاجز.
طابور طويل.
انتظار.
أسئلة.
وأحيانًا إغلاق مفاجئ.
في بعض الأيام،
كان يصل متأخرًا.
وفي أيام أخرى،
كان يعود إلى البيت دون أن يصل أصلًا.
ليس لأنه لم يرد الذهاب...
بل لأن الطريق أُغلق.
ذات صباح،
خرج عمر مبكرًا.
انتظر طويلًا تحت الشمس.
ثم سار مسافة إضافية مع عشرات الطلاب بعد إغلاق الطريق المعتاد.
وعندما وصل إلى المدرسة،
كان متعبًا جدًا.
جلس على مقعده بصمت.
لم يكن يفكر في الرياضيات.
ولم يكن يفكر في الامتحان.
كان يفكر فقط:
"لماذا يجب أن يكون الوصول إلى المدرسة بهذه الصعوبة؟"
خلال الاستراحة،
شاهد أصدقاءه يلعبون.
لكنه لم يشاركهم.
كان التعب أكبر من أن يسمح له بذلك.
وعندما عاد إلى البيت،
سألته أمه:
"كيف كان يومك؟"
فأجاب:
"مثل كل يوم."
ثم سكت قليلًا وأضاف:
"أتمنى فقط أن أصل إلى المدرسة غدًا دون كل هذا."
في أماكن كثيرة من العالم،
يقلق الأطفال من الامتحانات.
أما في فلسطين...
فأحيانًا يكون التحدي الأول
هو الوصول إلى الصف أصلًا.

1️⃣ When to use "yī" (Standard)
Used for counting, general numbers, and math.
Chinese: 一个苹果yí gè píngguǒ

2️⃣ When to use "yāo" (Special)
Used for sequences of numbers to avoid confusion with "seven" (qī), especially over the phone or in noisy places. This is common for phone numbers, room numbers, and bus lines.
	
A. Phone Numbers (电话号码 diànhuà hàomǎ):
Chinese: 我的电话是 138... Wǒ de diànhuà shì yāo sān bā...
My phone number is 138...
	
B. Room Numbers (房间号 fángjiān hào):
Chinese: 我住在 101 室。 Wǒ zhù zài yāo líng yāo shì.
