Greetings are the first conversation between two people:
(Los saludos son la primera conversación entre dos personas)
Parts of Greeting / Partes del saludo
a)	Saludos / salutation 
b)	Pidiendo información  / Asking for information
c)	Despedida / farewell
Tipos de Saludos / Kind of Greeting
1)	Formal
2)	Informal
Ejemplo de saludo formal / example formal greeting
Buenos días Señor Alexander / Good morning Mister Alexander
Buenas tardes Doctor. Alexander / Buenas afternoon Doctor. Alexander
Buenas noches Alumnos / Good evening  students.
Ejemplo de saludo informales / example informal greeting
Hola = Hi
Epa =  Hey
Keep contact / manteniendo contacto (informal)
The second part is keep attention with the dialog.
¿Qué tal? = How are you? (informal) 
¿Como estas? = How are you? (informal)
¿Todo está bien? = everything is good? 
¿Cómo va todo? = How is everything?
Me alegra verte =  I'm glad to see you
Mucho gusto = nice to meet you (informal)

And now we have an example of greeting:
Y ahora tenemos un ejemplo de saludos.

B: Estoy bien. ¿Qué hay de ti?

R: Estoy bastante bien. Gracias por preguntar.

B: No hay problema. ¿Así que ... cómo has estado?

B: He estado bien. Estoy en la escuela ahora mismo.

R: ¿A qué escuela vas?

B: Voy al bachillerato

R: ¿Te gusta estar allí?

B: Está bien. 

R: Buena suerte con la escuela.

B: Muchas gracias.

SALUDOS or GREETINGS

Following a verb, both 一下 ((yí xià, lit. “once”) and(一)点儿 ({yì} diǎnr “a bit”) can soften the tone in a question or an imperative sentence, therefore making it more polite. When used in this way, 一下(yí xià) modifies the verb, while(一)点儿 ({yì} diǎnr) modifies the object.

For example:
nǐ kàn yí xià ， zhè shì shuí de zhào piàn ？ 
你看一下，这是谁的照片？   Take a look. Whose photo is this?

nǐ xiǎnɡ chī diǎnr shén me ？ 
你想吃点儿什么？       What would you like to eat?

nǐ jìn lái yí xià 。 
你进来一下。Come in for a minute.

wǒ men hē yì diǎnr chá bɑ 。 
我们喝一点儿茶吧。  Have a little tea.

qǐnɡ nǐ kāi yí xià mén 。 
请你开一下门。   Please open the door.
