Hello, Arabic learners and enthusiasts! 
In this episode, I speak about bread which is the equivalent of life in many countries. I talk also about its basic ingredients and how they call it in Egypt.  I hope you enjoy it and learn from it.

Food in Arabic الأَكل بِالعَرَبِيَّة

Bread الخُبز

 As we have known that ‘个gè’ the most general measure word; used for people, round objects, abstract things, such as questions / ideas, etc.

‘只zhī’ is for animal and one of certain pair things; piece or item.

We’ll learn more measure words from a song. Before our reading,  let’s familiar with the number counting as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10
And then upgrade to the unit of count to hundred ‘百bǎi’,  then to  thousand ‘千qiān’,  to ten thousand ‘万wàn’, and a hundred million is ‘亿yì’.

wàn piàn shù yè huá lā lā ，
万   片  树  叶 哗 啦 啦，
Thousands of leaves clatter,

yì kē xīng xing màn tiān sǎ 。
亿 颗  星  星  漫   天  撒。
A hundred million stars scattered all over the sky.

The flower coughed.
但并不是由于感冒。
But it was not because she had a cold.

He did not understand this quiet sweetness.

这丝毫不重要。
That is of no importance.

But you–you have been just as foolish as I.

Try to be happy.

And if not the butterflies– and the caterpillars–who will call upon me?
你就要到远处去了。至于说大动物，我并不怕，我有爪子。
You will be far away...as for the large animals–I am not at all afraid of any of them. I have my claws.
于是，她天真地显露出她那四根刺，
And, navely, she showed her four thorns.
随后又说道：“别这么磨蹭了。真烦人！你既然决定离开这儿，那么，快走吧！”
Then she added: "Don't linger like this. You have decided to go away. Now go!"
她是怕小王子看见她在哭。她是一朵非常骄傲的花…
For she did not want him to see her crying. She was such a proud flower...
