    * 英訳: Appearance, Condition

3. 日差し（ひざし）
    * 英訳: Sunlight
    * 例文: 強い日差しで外はとても暑いです。
    * 訳: It's very hot outside due to the strong sunlight.
4. ぐんぐん
    * 英訳: Steadily, Rapidly
    * 例文: 木がぐんぐん成長している。
    * 訳: The tree is growing rapidly.
5. 猛暑（もうしょ）
    * 英訳: Intense Heat
    * 例文: 今年の夏は猛暑が続いています。
    * 訳: This summer has been continuously intensely hot.
6. 熱中症（ねっちゅうしょう）
    * 英訳: Heatstroke
    * 例文: 熱中症に気をつけてください。
    * 訳: Please be careful of heatstroke.
7. 水分（すいぶん）
    * 英訳: Moisture, Hydration
    * 例文: 水分を十分に取ることが大切です。
    * 訳: It’s important to stay well hydrated.
8. 補給（ほきゅう）
    * 英訳: Supply, Replenishment
    * 例文: こまめに水分を補給しましょう。
    * 訳: Let’s regularly replenish fluids.
9. 休憩（きゅうけい）
    * 英訳: Break, Rest
    * 例文: 長時間の作業の後には休憩が必要です。
    * 訳: A break is necessary after long hours of work.
10. 進路（しんろ）
    * 英訳: Course, Path
    * 例文: 台風の進路に注意してください。
    * 訳: Please pay attention to the typhoon's path.
11. 接近（せっきん）
    * 英訳: Approach
    * 例文: 台風が接近しています。
    * 訳: A typhoon is approaching.
12. 事前に（じぜんに）
    * 英訳: In advance
    * 例文: 事前に必要な準備をしてください。
    * 訳: Please make the necessary preparations in advance.
13. 安全第一（あんぜんだいいち）
    * 英訳: Safety First
    * 例文: 工事現場では安全第一です。
訳: Safety comes first at construction sites.

さて、まずは現在の関西地方の夏空の様子から見ていきましょう。今日は朝から強い日差しが照りつけていて、各地で気温がぐんぐん上昇中です。大阪、京都、神戸では最高気温が35度近くまで上がる見込みで、猛暑日となるところも多くなりそうです。熱中症対策として、こまめな水分補給と適度な休憩を心がけてくださいね。

次に、気になる台風情報です。現在、南の海上で台風第7号が発生しており、今後の進路によっては関西地方に接近する可能性があります。この台風はまだ進路が不確定ですが、週末にかけて風雨が強まるおそれがあるため、今後の最新情報にご注意ください。特に、海や山へのレジャーを計画している方は、事前に天気予報をチェックして、安全第一で行動をお願いします。

This is an important grammar topic at the intermediate level. This short episode introduces the idea of ergative verbs. 

Ergative verbs are a set of verbs which have a third option besides being active or passive: ergative. This means they are active in form, with the receiver of the verb's action as the subject. The meaning is the same as the passive. 

The examples I use in the episode: 
The store opens at 10. 
The movie will star at 8pm. 
The music stopped. 
The weather changed.
The chicken is cooking. 
The car is reversing. 
The plants grew. 
The window broke.
