A well-written essay can still lose marks if it does not answer the whole question. In IELTS Writing Task 2, some questions contain two separate parts. Make sure your essay responds clearly to both. For example: “Why do people choose to work from home? Is this a positive or negative development?” Your essay must explain the reasons and give your opinion about whether the development is positive or negative. Before writing, underline each part of the task and turn it into a simple planning question. This takes only a few seconds and helps you stay relevant throughout your essay.
