The story is about "The Lost Generation" after World War one which has three main characters: 1- Jake Barnes who is an American journalist in Paris. Jacob is the story teller. 2- Lady Brett Ashley who is a so called modern girl. Ashley and Jacob are in love with each other but for some reasons they can not marry. 3- Robert Cohn, an ex-professional boxer in Princeton college who is living in Paris at the moment.
