Hi Rachel here some pointers you can use,
1.Know your subject matter.
2.Engage your audience.
3.Breathe.
4.Practice out loud.

I’ve given thousands of presentations. The more you speak, the more you will develop your own style and tools. These are some that work for me.
First, the mechanical: Be sure of your material. Personally, I don’t like to memorize a speech, but to practice all the different bits, and have simple notes of things I want to say (“The story about the dog” “the numbers of sales”). And I do write down the numbers in my notes because I have a terrible memory for them. Write your cues really big and dark, using no more than ¾ of the page, on one side only. That’s so you don’t have to look way down and have the audience only see the top of your head. When you’re giving your speech, have the pages with your notes *loose* in a nice folder. Don’t try to turn pages, but slide each one you’ve finished to the left. It’s easier, disrupts your rhythm less, and is less distracting for the audience.
Second: The physical. Take a moment when you reach the podium, or just before you begin, to take a relaxed breath, look out over the audience with a smile, and let your shoulders drop.
Third: The mental. There’s lots of advice about how not to be nervous, like only looking over the heads of the audience, or the opposite, choosing one or two people in the audience to relate to, or picturing the audience naked. I can give my opinions on these (mostly negative), but the best piece of advice I ever got, and late in my career, was this: if you believe in your message, if you believe that what you have to say is important, then believing in yourself or your presentation isn’t the focus. The focus is on helping your audience understand your message, and understand why it is important. Once you’re thinking about the audience and the message, you don’t have to be focused on yourself, and you will be less worried about how *you* are doing. And you will do fine. I promise.
I very much look forward to hearing feedback and comments and different approaches of other presenters so we can all improve.
