It was very exciting and relaxing at the same moment because you feel free to take your time and follow your interest . I think it’s a wonderful experience that everyone should try to do almost once in a life despite of the destination.

I think it’s a wonderful experience that everyone should try to do at least once in their life no matter the destination.

Depending on what you're trying to say "Follow your interests" should probably be "do whatever seems interesting". Well done!
