I think it’s a wonderful experience that everyone should try to do almost once in a life despite of the destination.

I travelled alone once, last year just before the pandemic. I went to England, more precisely to Oxford. I think it’s a wonderful experience that everyone should try to do at least once in their life no matter the destination.

Depending on what you're trying to say "Follow your interests" should probably be "do whatever seems interesting". Well done!
