Is it common to go where you want by yourself in your country? I've heard that people who eat alone are considered “loners” in some countries. When I feel tired, I like to eat lunch or go shopping by myself. I also like to spend time with my friends. When I want to be alone, I go anywhere I want (although it depends on the place) by myself. I think it's a normal thing in Japan and nobody really cares if you do things by yourself. This culture is called おひとりさま文化.
