It is my IELTS Task 1 essay: "The map (I don’t think map is the right word, plan or diagram is better) illustrates the changes to the ground
floor of a library between 2001 and 2009. Overall, the southern part of the
ground floor remained unchanged (intact means it hasn’t been physically altered) throughout the period, while the rest of it
underwent some significant changes, such as the addition of several book
sections and a children’s area. (I think the increased IT is worth mentioning here) Looking at the diagrams in more detail, in 2001, people could enter
the ground floor through the entrance in the south of the library, which was in
front of the librarian’s desk and next to the stairs. There were eight small tables
located in the center, leading to the fiction section at the north end. The
remaining part consisted of the self help and history section in a row on the
eastern side, and the section of newspapers and periodicals taking up the
opposite side. Eight years later, in 2009, no changes had been made to the entrance,
librarian’s desk and stairs. However, in the middle of the ground floor, eight
small tables were replaced by four new bigger ones. In the eastern part of the
library, the area of the self help and history sections were reduced to make space
for the addition of fiction, kitchen, economics, and law sections. The original fiction
section was converted into children’s books and was now adjacent to a new
children’s area. Finally, two new computers were located next to the area containing
Films and DVDs" Hope to receive your feedback.
