Is it correct to say "to look a person into their/his,her eyes" in the literal meaning?

Looking someone in the eye --- literal
Seeing eye to eye --- figurative (and intransitive) --- e.g. "they don't see eye to eye"
Looking into someone's eyes --- literal
Looking at someone's eyes --- literal, what an optician or doctor might do
Gazing into someone's eyes --- literal
Meeting someone's gaze --- literal

It's a common collocation to say look someone "in the eye."
I looked him in the eye and told him to go away.

Hi Sasha, we would rather say "look a person in thier eyes" or "look into a person's eyes"
