Personally, I recommend messaging the tutor before the first lesson to set expectations. There is a contact form that you can fill out or you can just send them a casual message. If you haven't met with a teacher before, you can do a "trial lesson" that is usually more affordable and shorter. Keep in mind that you might not connect with your first tutor. There are lots of options if that's the case. Good luck!
