Today is scorching hot outside, and the sound of cicadas is filling the air. One of my friends invited me to her house for a summer sleepover, and my mom approved. She will show off her forte - cooking - there, and she's never been shy about her specialty. My friend's house is huge and has multiple extra bedrooms, so she's probably inviting others too. I'm looking forward to the big party. I think my mom will need to prepare a buffet or something similar.
