Now a chinese learning question. Mandarin
I focused mainly on the tones and i think i master them correctly.
Now i go onto pinyin but my question is.
Should i learn say 100 pinyin and their meaning first then the characters for them when i now the pinyin? Or should i learn both pinyin and character at once? What is the best approach and best time saver :)?

Firstly I want to say good job! We know Chinese tone is very diffcult, but you did it.
Would you mind to tell me how did you learn the tone?follow a certain App to practice?
I am a Chinese teacher, maybe I can help you to set a suitable plan for you.😊

Hi Daniel, by mastering the tones, were you meant to say that you could pronounce a character if the Pinyin is given to you? If so, I would recommend memorizing the Pinyin, character, and meaning all at once.
However, if you are not yet comfortable pronouncing a character when the Pinyin of it is given to you, I would recommend practice looking at Pinyin of a character and be able to pronounce it without worrying about the meaning of the character too much. As the other answer mentioned, Pinyin is really the backbone of Chinese pronunciation, and it could really help later when you are trying to memorize the pronunciations of a word.

As native speaker, I suggest u learing pinyin first , it is the foundation of language, character is rather complex.
