It's not very cold today, only -8 degrees Celsius (18 degrees Fahrenheit). There's a lot of snow outside.
-8 C is quite cold for where I live! Even in many different cities, I've rarely experienced weather than cold in my life. I would personally consider it very cold! Russians are very hardy :)

About your text you can use a contraction isn't = is not, but yes it's cold there 😳😅
