Hello fellow students and teachers!!! I have a question regarding an English structure that I'm struggling to identify for one of my students. We read and analyzed a poem when we came across the following structure: 'you came to me, not I to you.' so I explained the meaning of this structure regarding the context and provided different examples for different contexts, however, what is the grammar term for such a structure? I have not had any luck researching it thus far.

It is called ellipsis. The verb ‘came’ is left out of the second clause but you need to supply it.
