Try to surround yourself with the language, in every aspect. Talk to people in English. Watch tv, read books/articles, write something. Spend some time on it EVERY day and you ll be surprised how fast you ll improve. Just stick to it. Trust me, I learnt German from almost zero to fluency in about two years.
