Can someone explain to me the correct order of adjectives? E.g. is it 'palabra nueva' or 'nueva palabra'?

Most of the time we use verb + adjective: palabra nueva. It just states a quality of that noun. However, if you put them the other way around: nueva palabra the emphasis is on the adjective. The adjective is more important that the thing you are talking about. But in terms of meaning is the same.

That’s not a big problem ‘cause the adjective in spanish can be before or after the noun but you will hear it mostly after the noun. However if you says “nueva palabra” is definitely not a mistake

* The GOLDEN RULE in Spanish and that does not fail: noun + adjective These adjectives are accompanied by inflectional suffixes (-a, -o, -as, -os, -es). Examples: - Es un hombre respetuoso - Es una mujer respetuosa - Ellos son respetuosos * However, there are adjectives that, although it goes against the norm, can change position (adjective + noun) without affecting the way we write it or grammatically they are heard well, or personally, I feel that it is to give greater emphasis to the adjective when reading or pronouncing it. Just like the example you shared: - Antonio aprendió una palabra nueva - Antonio aprendió una NUEVA palabra * On the other hand, there are adjectives with an apocopal condition, which when changing position must be said in another way so that it is understood well. Example: - El señor que me atendió en la tienda es un buen hombre. (kind man) - buen - El señor que me atendió en la tienda es un hombre bueno. (man kind) - bueno (Fuente: https://concepto.de/adjetivo/) The biggest TIP, first the GOLDEN RULE: noun + adjective Then think about whether changing the position of the adjective is convenient or not.

I am sorry, they are called indefinite adjectives, not numerals. I don't have how to edit the post. Then I have to write again. Sorry for the confusion. They are called indefinite adjectives, which refer to quantity but in an imprecise way. They go in front of the noun. Like your example: "pocas palabras", "muchas palabras". Hey mate! I struggle with this too. Any interest in being name fwends and language accountability buddies?! Maybe we can share ideas on resources and tips etc My understanding is that if the adjective adds meaning it follows the noun. If it limits or quantifies it goes before. So palabra nuevo But maybe palabra nueva if you have to match the gender up too... My head hurts!
