Please could some kind soul take their time and correct my c2 essay? The referenced texts can be found here: https://www.flo-joe.co.uk/cpe/students/writing/makeover/cambridge_C2_proficiency_essay.htm Both texts touch on the tourism industry, the first one listing its disadvantages, while the second one opts to offer new solutions to them. In the first one, the author addresses the tourism industry’s negative effects on the local country. Firstly, the need to pander to tourists can culminate in a loss of the local culture and can seriously damage the environment. Moreover, local communities don’t usually enjoy the economic benefits that they expect due to the presence of multinationals. In order to counter this negative impact, the author of the second text offers a solution to these problems: the so-called eco-tourism. This new form of tourism looks to minimize the impact of tourism on the environment as well as to preserve the local culture through sustainable travel. Nowadays, mass tourism is evidently taking a toll on the environment and the conservation of cultural patrimony, in addition to often being an economic burden rather than a blessing to the local economies. Eco-tourism seems a reasonable and sensible solution to tackle this problem and turn the now-decadent tourism industry into a buoyant economy and to reduce the environmental dangers, such as pollution and climate change. Even those stubborn holidaymakers that wish to continue having their holidays the way they always did, totally unaware of the consequences of their actions, will have to consider this new form of tourism too, if they indeed want to enjoy many more holidays down the line. All in all, eco-tourism is a much-necessitated form of tourism that could potentially resolve a lot of the issues that the tourism industry is facing now, as long as the tourists keep that in mind.
