It has been raining for days. I got flu that makes me cough all day long. Therefore, I haven't gone for walks for a few days. Instead, I help my kids with their English and Maths. I sleep a bit more because of the flu but I still keep learning English.

It has been raining for days. A flu I caught keeps me coughing all day long. For that reason, I haven't taken a walk for a few days now. Instead, I have been helping my kids with their English and Maths. Though I sleep a bit more because of my flu, I still keep studying English.

People will often instead say "I caught the flu"
In American english we say "math" but British people say "maths"
