Is it impolite to laugh when someone just complimented on you? Or would the other person assume that you think their compliments are insincere? I recently had an encounter with an Italian guy. When he said, oh, your English is so great. I kinda laughed a little at that. And then when he sense that I was laughing he said I'm being serious. I don't remember if said thank you or not. ( I know that I'm supposed to say thank you when someone compliments on me😂,but then I just went blanked and didn't know what to say.) How would you react to these kind of situations? How would you react to someone's compliments when you sort of feel like they might be exaggerating? I'd appreciate it if you could kindly answer my questions. Thank you so much for your time!
