1. I'm not a superstitious person. But I have some rituals that are related to superstitions of my family. For example, I always sit down somewhere and cross myself before an important event/trip. I do it not because I’m waiting something bad but mostly out of habit. 2. There are a lot of superstitions in Russia. One of them says that if someone with an empty bucket crosses your path, you should go another way (otherwise you will lose your luck). 3. Superstitions can become dangerous when people because of them don’t care about health and healing. For instance, they refuse blood transfusions. But in my opinion, it’s more about religious beliefs than superstitions. 4. The superstition about black cat would never die, because it’s common in many countries and it’s easy to put your failures on a poor cat. 5. I’m not an expert in this sphere. But I’m sure my country is really superstitious. The most weirdest superstition I’ve ever faced on was from my father-in-law. He said my husband and me should bring our newborn daughter to a bathhouse and rob her skin with breadcrumbs because under baby’s skin hides a stubble! – something like coarse hair. It was a crazy suggestion, and we didn’t do it of course.
