We don’t have acetone or ethyl acetate. We tried to get them before, but we couldn’t. We have ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and other types of alcohol.
Improved Version: - - - We don’t have acetone or ethyl acetate. We tried to get them earlier, but we weren’t successful. We do have ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and some other alcohols. - - - Short Tips: 1. “and” → “or” Use “or” when saying you don’t have either of two things. 2. “ethylacetate” → “ethyl acetate” Needs a space; it’s a compound noun. 3. “failed” → “we couldn’t” / “we weren’t successful” “Failed” is a bit strong or negative in tone. Softer options are better in everyday English. 4. “isopropanol Alcohol” → “isopropyl alcohol” Use the correct term; it’s more common and clear.
