1. This is not relevant to my career, but I am willing to give it a try. 2. She abides by the commitment she made to herself at a young age to become a quantum physics researcher. 3. Papayas are rich in vitamin C. 4. The seismic activity yesterday was responsible for the collapse of the towering skyscraper. I am not an expert in this department, but from my understanding, seismic activity is the frequency, type, and size of an earthquake that is experienced over time. While an earthquake is a violent shaking of the ground which usually causes destruction. NB shaking of the ground that happens but is very light and not violent is called a tremor. I hope this was helpful.

1 Without respect to my career, I just give it a try. (I don't really understand this sentence... give 'what' a try?) Maybe: "It doesn't really fit in with my career plans but I thought I would give it a try." 2 She followed her youthful dreams and became a quantum physics researcher. 3 Papaya is rich in vitamin C. 4 The seismic activity yesterday was responsible for the collapse of the towering skyscraper. I am no expert in this field! - but this is what I think: "seismic activity" is any kind of underground movement, that can be very slight - almost imperceptible, or very strong and powerful like an earthquake" An "earthquake" is usually a significance incidence of underground movement that causes surface damage. The Richter scale is used to measure the precise severity of earthquakes. If you put these two terms in a search engine, I'm sure you'll find some more scientific and exact definitions... ,🙂
