Best Movies in Your Native Language?

I find that learning languages through watching movies is very effective. What is your favorite movie in your native language, or some movies you would recommend to people learning your language? What do you think about learning languages through movies?

I live in Iran and my native language is Persian. There are some good movies in Persian. I recommend you watch Children of Heaven from Majid Majidi, A Separation from Asghar Farhadi and Muhammad: The Messenger of God from Majid Majidi.

I myself always watch American great movies to improve my English and especially my American accent. I found it a great way learning a new language.

I wish you would enjoy the movies of course if you want to learn Persian.

I think the best movie of Brazil is "O homem que copiava" a great movie and a beautiful story. It isn't like the most of brazilian movie just work with stereotypes.

I think it is a very good method, especially if you're interested in what's going on in the movie. Most good brazilian movies deals with issues like people's lives in favelas or in the police force, so it would not be ideal for people trying to learn Portuguese, since the language is full of slangs. But "O ano em que meus pais saíram de férias" is a good movie without that, it deals with families that suffered with the Regime Militar in Brazil

My personal favorite Vietnamese film is "Tôi thấy hoa vàng trên cỏ xanh" (English: Yellow flowers on the Green grass). It's a film adaption of a famous Vietnamese novel by beloved author Nguyễn Nhật Ánh. A very heartwarming story about three children living in a rural area of central Vietnam during the late 1980s.
