Any feedback is very welcome!
Shona, I thought I forgot Irish entirely (I had a course at the university long ago... not too great course:) And I never spoke it). So I was pleasantly surprised with the number of words I recognize:)
Chances for me (personally) to learn anything from your vlog would grow if I could see both the script in Irish and translation. I am not sure, whether it would be beneficial for more advanced learners:)
You must adjust microphone sensitivity... oh. Surprisingly i don't know the English terminoligy for this:/ It records some noise and... How do you call it when bad things happen with your voice when it is loud enough? It doesn't impair comrehensibility though.
I don't have any good ideas for vlogs: that's why after considering your first question seriously I edned up writing nothing:( Personally, I would be much interested in dialects. Especially because, as I am afraid, Irish is in danger of becoming everybodies second language, learned in schools etc.. i.e. partly afrifiicial:( But I love dialects universally in any language:) As I recall from the universtity, regional dialects and accents differ noticeably! But I am not sure to which extent people share my passion... and it needs much work and passion to do it well:/
This is great and I've subscribed to your channel. I hope you make more of these videos. I will second what KP said that I think the script in Irish would be useful to have. The English subtitles are helpful as well, but I do find them a bit distracting and I think it would be helpful if I could turn them off and on. Thanks for doing this.
Huge thumbs up!!
The subtitles really helped, mainly to verify that the word I thought I heard was actually the word I heard. :)
Yes. More of this please.
Great video. There is a huge lack of available irish videos on youtube. I find the subtitles very helpful also.
I think you mean "(vocal) distortion", KP?
