There are two words similar to what you wrote:

 1) Weather -  the weather refers to the type of day, for example it can be rainy or sunny, hot or cold, windy, etc.  For example:  "Today the weather was beautiful!  We had 28 degrees with a beautiful sun and a light breeze."

2) Whether -  this is used when you have two things that are possible, and you don't know which one will happen or will be chosen.  It is most commonly used for yes/no situations, but also for other cases.   For example:

"I don't know whether he will come or not." (You can leave the 'or not' out, it is understood: "I don't know whether he will come.")

"I am not sure whether he talked with her yet or not." (again you can leave out the 'or not': "I am not sure whether he talked with her yet.")

"Whether he comes or not, either way we must eat at 7" (here you can't leave out the 'or not'.  If you are in doubt always put it, then you are okay)

"Whether she passes the test or fails it, in either case she will graduate."

"I am not sure whether I should take the lemon cake or the chocolate truffle."

I hope this is helpful!  : )
