-para empezar creo que es necesario aprender los tiempos verbales.

-creo que puedes escuchar y leer mucho, escuchar y leer mucho ;)))

-buscar el significado de las palabras que no entiendas

-y supongo que después vas a querer hablar.

it's necessary to practice conjugation verbs because in spanish its form change a lot, another tip would be read simple text in spanish and search the meaning of the words that you have not understood.

You could watch movies in spanish to your ear get used to the language.
