I watch a lot of videos on iTunes and use the subtitles, they should be available in English for most films. In my case I am trying to learn Italian and therefore sometimes watch the movie in English, but have Italian subtitles. Maybe you can experiment a little with combinations of audio / subtitles in the target language, but it's best done with DVDs. All the best!

I almost forgot, this is the local Australian tv station which has many Italian movies (it also has other languages, please explore). They all have subtitles in English and are free to view - you just need to create an account.
