Basic Japanese greetings I'm about to begin learning Japanese, Im picking up a Rosetta Stone tomorrow, but it doesn't teach the basic greetings like you would use in everyday context, so I was wondering if someone could maybe write out the following in everyday Japanese, and in Romaji as well: (How are you?) (What is your name?) (Nice to meet you)

Definitely learn sumimasen for "Excuse me"/"I'm sorry." It's an incredibly useful phrase!

Why are you learning Japanese? What are your goals?

Do you like Rosetta Stone? I've never used them before, but I've been studying Japanese for about 3 years now. I find the most effective way for me is one-on-one tutors, like here at Italki!
