Luck can be random and will more likely happen by chance. It also more often occurs through small things. For example, it would be lucky to find some money on the ground. Destiny is more like an event or circumstance that happens to a person which helps them determine their path or purpose in life. For example, it is destiny that you met someone who can help you pursue that job you've always wanted.
