When I was learning Spanish I learned a lot of vocabulary very fast using a spaced repetition method. I mainly used the program/app called Anki. It basically just gives you flash cards and you tap after you think you have the right answer. You can choose if it was hard, ok, or easy to think of the answer. Based on that the hard words to remember come up more often until they become easy, then they get repeated less frequently. For Spanish there were dozens of these shared flash cards for free. I especially liked the combination of audio and pictures in addition to the English translation written in small font. 

These resources don't really exist for Russian for the Anki app and the other Russian Vocab specific apps aren't exactly what I had in mind. If you can point me to another similar program or way of learning vocab please share. Maybe I even missed a deck on Anki or an App because I looked through many. They are ok, but they aren't single words with an audio and image. Usually they are silly or robotic phrases you would rarely use and the audio is usually really bad quality. Also the images are not  good quality too.
