You answer questions like whether "but" and "put" rhyme, whether you call a baby a "babba" or a "bairn," and so on. After each question it shows you a map of the places in the British Isles where the local dialect resembles your answer. Finally, it shows you an overall map of the place that best matches your whole pattern of answers.

I'm not from the UK (which I indicated before taking the test). It concluded that I was probably not from the UK because my pattern of answers resembled that of people outside the UK--but that the area with the most similar pattern of answers was around London.

By the way, in most cases I did not have enough knowledge of British dialects to fake a location.
