I recommend watching the movie "The Last Samurai"(2003). It's true it's not enough to explain bushido but I think it's well-made.You can understand it's not just a worrier's code after watching the movie.

It's a warrior's code, typically a Japanese warrior code having 8 moral pillars - Justice, Courage, Mercy, Politeness, Loyalty and all.
